About

A practice rooted in care, structure and the belief that leadership can be different.

I've spent years inside organizations that asked people to leave parts of themselves at the door. My work is what I wish those teams had had.

Janelle Fitzpatrick

I'm Janelle Fitzpatrick. I'm a team coach, facilitator and leadership partner based in Portland Oregon. I work with managers, directors and executives who are ready for something more honest than the leadership scripts they inherited.

My practice draws on relational leadership, somatic awareness and a feminist understanding of power. Who holds it. Who is asked to absorb it. And what becomes possible when we redistribute it on purpose.

How I work

I don't do performance theater. I don't do off-the-shelf frameworks. The teams I work with are carrying real load. Competing priorities. Restructures. Generational change. The slow grind of under-resourced ambition. We start there.

Together we build language for what's actually happening, repair what's been left unsaid and design new patterns for how the team decides, disagrees and creates. The result isn't a quick fix. It's the kind of trust that compounds.

Who I work with

Decision-makers inside companies and nonprofits. VPs, directors, executive directors and CEOs who can feel the cost of disconnection on their team and want to lead through it, not around it.

Credentials

CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) through ICF. Background in nonprofit management, government systems and leadership development.

Let's talk

If something here is landing, book a call. Thirty minutes, no pitch. We'll talk about what's actually happening on your team and whether I'm the right partner for it.

"What I value most is how unflashy this work is. Janelle is the calmest force in the room and somehow the most honest. Our team meetings now feel like adult conversations between people who actually trust each other."
